Irish Show Champion STRATHMEAD MOLLY MALONE AT GWENDARIFF JW won both her Junior Warrant and her Irish Title with ease. She loved all the pomp and pizzazz of the show ring but really found her niche in life when she became a registered P.A.T dog (Pets as Therapy). She regularly ‘puts on a show’ twice a week at the old folks homes.

Dual Show Champion ‘Annie’ (now a veteran) has also produced two champions. Retired from maternal duties and retired from the show ring as well, she has found a new career. Annie and kennel mate Pharoah regularly help raise money for other animals that are less fortunate.

Kennel manager, Alison Lennon is the backbone of Gwendariff and plays a very important role in all aspects of life here. Mum to four of her own rescued dogs, Alison gives her spare time to raising money for local animal charities in Northern Ireland. September starts her next project – visiting schools and clubs with Annie and Pharoah to teach responsible dog ownership.

Not everyone at Gwendariff is a show dog.

These dogs have given us many years of pleasure and have helped contribute towards teaching us the true meaning of ‘mans best friend’.
